FoodX is looking for a full-time, permanent Technical Support Specialist. Our head office is located at #105 5566 Trapp Avenue, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.


This Technical Support Specialist will support our business in Belgium, Europe, so the hours worked will be approximately 8:00 am- 4:30 pm Central European Standard Time Zone. The candidate hired must be able to permanently work 11:00 pm- 8:00 am approximately if located in the west coast of Canada or 2:00 am- 11:00 am if located in east coast. We are also open to candidates who are living in Belgium currently. 

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will help support our developers and users in Belgium, with our current and next generation of FoodX Technology’s systems. In this role, you will be critical in diagnosing and solving issues that end users face. The ideal candidate is a focused individual with proven ability to prioritize well and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Your ability to creatively collaborate and execute team goals will affect scalability and directly contribute to the company mission of accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable e-grocery.


  • Communicate across multiple teams and stake holders
  • Create and document policies and procedures
  • Document runbooks/playbooks
  • Work within a 24/7 team
  • Work directly with engineering to ensure repetitive issues are diagnosed and fixed
  • Support globally deployed systems
  • Understand telemetry and surface issues based on data
  • When faced with uncertainty you provide clarity
  • Additional duties as required 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proficient and fluent in English and French languages- both will be required daily to communicate with our employees or clients in Belgium
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Technical writing and documentation
  • Understanding of systems telemetry
  • Ability to diagnose unfamiliar systems, to determine root cause
  • Ability to triage, critical problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Understanding of a blameless culture
  • Ability to work independently and self-organize
