FoodX is looking for a full-time, permanent IT Business Analyst based remotely in Vancouver, BC.

With the grocer and shopper in mind, the IT Business Analyst works closely with our business and technology teams to identify needs and translate them into our product solution design with the goal of creating a superior e-grocery shopping experience through FoodX. By capturing the requirements and technical specifications for new features and enhancements, they are a key contributor to delivering and implementing new software to our Clients and Customers.

• Acts as a point of contact and connection for the functional and technical teams concerning all application and interface changes impacting eGMS (eGrocery Management Solution) and related technical ecosystem.
• Performs business and technical analysis of the impacts of new designs and proposed changes to business processes and technical systems, and ensures solutions are consistent with the overall technical and business architecture.
• Clearly captures business and technical requirements and specifications enabling the development of new and optimized business solutions.
• Applies subject matter expertise and intermediate understanding of key technical environments to effectively identify integration, security, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Leads the assessment of Client needs utilizing a structured process to identify business priorities and recommends options.
• Facilitates sessions with stakeholders to identify and elicit requirements that provide high value.
• Leads planning sessions, analysis and documentation to implement integrated business process improvements.
• Provides technical guidance and leadership.
• Develops user test cases and validates results during user acceptance and system acceptance testing stages. Performs functional testing as required.
• Manages new releases to efficiently roll out new features to clients. Responsibilities include documentation of release notes, standard operating procedures, performing fit-gap analysis, and implementation planning. Provides post-deployment support as required.
• Analyzes system data and metrics to assess performance and data quality.
• Performs other related duties as required.

This is a technical BA role requiring a firm understanding of software development including system integrations and data flows. A background in IT is required.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a technical Business Analyst. BA/BS/Technical degree or equivalent working experience.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and people skills. You share your vision, manage expectations, and synthesize different points of view
• Ability to collaborate with, and influence, cross-functional partners to co-develop solutions, ensure awareness, agreement, alignment and build commitment to deliver change.
• Excellent analytical reasoning, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• Proven experience in process, functional and system integration analysis; creating, analyzing, and validating detailed specifications.
• Experience working with Software Development teams collaborating with UX/UI Design, Technical Support, QA Test Automation, and Developers (Front-End, Back-End, Integrations.)
• Excellent documentation, business process, data analysis, and solution design skills; experience in translating business requirements into technical requirements needed to develop and implement a software solution.
• Ability to facilitate design and grooming sessions with the implementation team to define the solution.
• QA and testing experience including creation of test plans and leading user acceptance testing.
• Experience with software development and its life cycle (SDLC).
• Data analysis and SQL skills considered an asset.
• Current on innovations in technology and industry trends; up-to-date knowledge of current technology techniques and tools.
