    Food-X is looking for permanent, full-time Outbound Supervisor for our South Burnaby, BC warehouse (5566 Trapp Avenue). This shift is TBD but will be 7:30 am- 5:30 pm either Sunday- Wednesday, Friday- Monday, or Wednesday- Saturday.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    The full time Outbound Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Outbound Team. Managing a team of up to 100 reports, they are responsible for planning the activities of the team, coaching for performance, providing support and assistance, and developing future leaders.
    As the key team member responsible for order fulfillment, the Outbound Supervisor will work closely with the Inbound Supervisor, ICQA Supervisor and Produce Quality Coordinator, to ensure smooth operation of all warehouse activities, while championing an industry-leading customer experience

    • Plan and coordinate the daily pack line activities
    • Provide instruction and support to Team Leaders and Outbound Associates
    • Implement and maintain regular communication touchpoints with the team
    • Monitor and report on Outbound KPIs
    • Manage the scheduling, vacation and payroll for your team of reports, according to budget
    • Engage and develop the team through coaching, support and regular feedback.
    • Lead with positivity and empathy, while ensuring that team members respect their peers and the requirements of their positions
    • Where required, assist in conducting disciplinary action
    • Help develop new procedures and improvements to current procedures
    • Seek out and engage in opportunities to further personal leadership development
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Post-secondary education in a related discipline is an asset
    • Experience leadership working in warehousing & distribution
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Desire to actively problem solve and think creatively to improve processes and complete tasks on a daily basis
    • Experience working in a team environment
    • History of working with food, either in a service, retail, or production role, and strong understanding of food safety and quality control processes

    Compensation

    • An annual salary based on experience paid bi-weekly

    • Extended health care benefits (effective the first of the month after the 90 day probationary period)
